The table tennis facility is located on the first floor of the sports complex. This facility has three tables and is free to play for all members of the sports complex. Table Tennis balls are provided free of cost. Coaching is available for beginners and advanced players by paying the prescribed coaching charges. Air-Conditioning has recently been installed in this section due to the excessively humid and warm conditions in this enclosed room. Besides the annual home tournament conducted over the years, this facility has hosted two Maharashtra State Open Ranking tournaments and three All Mumbai Ranking Tournaments. The MCF team has won the Inter Club League tournament on two occasions in C division and has reached the finals this year in the B division. Our member Akshay Gogri has represented Mumbai Suburban District in the State Ranking tournament.


The table tennis sub-committee is the representation of the playing members of the section and recommends suitable amendments to playing rules, conducting tournaments, addition of facilities, grievances of the members etc to the managing committee during their annual tenure.

Table Tennis rules :

  1. For the present, this game will be free of any charges. However, the Management reserves its right to charge a sectional fee in due course, if necessary.
  2. The number of members to be admitted will be decided by the Management taking into consideration the maximum capacity this facility can offer.
  1. The playing timings shall be displayed on the Notice Board and the Members will have to adhere to them rigidly.
  2. There shall be two sessions of play i.e. morning and evening.
  3. The tables will be available for play to the Members on “First –Come-First-Served” basis.
  4. Balls will be provided by the Management to the Members, when their turn for play comes. The same will be issued to them against their Identity Cards. The cards will be returned to the Members concerned on their returning the material issued to them after play. Members are required to bring their own Racquets.
  5. It shall be the responsibility of the individual members to use the equipment properly so as not to cause any damage.
  6. Only one ball will be issued for each table. Replacement will be given only on production of the ball damaged or gone out of shape.
  7.  A Member shall sign the register maintained by the Attendant prior to starting play.
  8.  Members will be allowed to play one game at a time. However, they can continue if no other member is waiting to play. They can play singles if other Members are not available for play. However, if other Members are ready to play, they should play doubles.
  9. The game already started should not be disturbed.
  10. In case play is on on all the tables, other members will have to wait their turn.
  11. Warming up shall be allowed for maximum of one minute only. The game will have to be started immediately thereafter.
  12. Members will not be allowed to introduce any guest for the time being.
  1. Lights/Fans will be switched off when not necessary.
  2. Members shall maintain absolute decorum and discipline inside the hall.
  3. Decision of the person in charge will be binding on all the Members.
  4. Complaints and suggestions shall be made in writing to the authorities concerned.
  5. Members will have to adhere to the rules strictly.
  6. All types of drinks and eatables are strictly prohibited inside the hall. Smoking/Chewing of pan/pan masala is also prohibited.
  7. The Management shall be the sole authority for interpretation of the Rules and their decision shall be final and binding.
  8. The Management reserves its right to repeal, alter, add or amend the Rules, when conditions warrant.
